Zaika Gourmet India: Authentic Indian Flavors & Unique Dishes in Wausau, WI

Get to Zaika Gourmet India fast! We’ve hoped for an Indian restaurant in Wausau for a while. As my wife said “I’m glad they’re here, but I really needed their food to be good.” It definitely was. We loved it all. From the samosas to the Mango lamb curry (me) and lamb korma (her) and the excellent naan they get all the stars!

Chicken Vindaloo and chili garlic Naan were amazing. Flavor was excellent, portions were generous, and the special request for half way between medium and hot spice level reminded us we were alive but not so hot as to regret we were so. All the stars, highly recommend.

Food is a little pricey but very delicious! They had pani puri here, which is almost impossible to find in the US let alone this corner of Wisconsin. I was really impressed with the menu and the flavors. The chicken 65 is also excellent.

Great place to grab some chow with delicious Indian food, with a few options you won't see in other places, there definitely worth a stop if you're looking for some chow that you won't find in other places or if you want to be adventurous and try something you have never heard of or tried. There definitely a place I would stop at again!!

The atmosphere, staff and food is top notch! I'm so excited to have found a new restaurant favorite! Highly recommend. I love Indian food, my favorite cuisine and this is very authentic, rich in flavors

Service was great and the food was delicious We had the butter chicken, Tikka Masala (more spicy and coconut taste), garlic naan, Pani Puri, Tandoori Salmon, and the Galub Jamun. My kids loved it as well.

This place is fantastic! The location is beautiful and upscale, and the food was delicious! Had the Chettinad lamb, garlic naan, and beer. Owner was friendly and welcoming, would come here again

Zaika Gourmet India in Wausau has become a special part of our family’s week. We drive all the way from Stevens Point every Friday for dinner — that’s how much we love this place! For many years there weren’t any nearby Indian restaurants in our area, so discovering Zaika has been such a blessing. The food is consistently delicious. The crispy chilli chicken is our absolute favorite — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. We also can’t get enough of their garlic naan (soft, fresh, and aromatic every single time) and the paneer butter masala, which is creamy, rich, and incredibly comforting. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is always friendly and attentive. It truly feels like they care about every guest who walks through the door. If you’re anywhere near Wausau and craving authentic, top-quality Indian food, Zaika Gourmet India is the place to go. Our family highly recommends it — it’s worth the drive every single time!
